Hartwell House Inn & Conference Center in Coastal New England Lodging and Accomodation MaineFine Lodging in Coastal Maine, Ogunquit, Marginal Way, Hartwell House InnGetaway to a romantic Maine Coastal country inn, minutes from souther Maine's coastline.

“This was our first trip to Maine .  When making the reservation, we found Brandon to be most helpful.  He enthusiastically described the area to us, telling of the available activities and sightseeing possibilities.   We also were impressed with Amanda who greeted us upon our arrival, showed us around the grounds/house and then to our room.  She answered the myriad of questions we had and was very kind.  She served us a delicious breakfast each morning.  And again, she was helpful when we asked about tickets to the Playhouse (which she arranged) and at checkout.  We enjoyed our two-night stay at the Inn and will recommend it to our friends.  We thank you for our most pleasant mini-vacation.”  The T’s, Canandaigua , New York , June 2007

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your home.  Everyone and everything could not have been better.  The staff were just wonderful and the breakfasts were so delicious.  Thank you so much for making our stay in Ogunquit just a delightful experience.”  S & EG, June 2007

“My husband and I had such a wonderful time staying at your inn. The people you have working for you truly make it a great experience. Heather was wonderful over the phone when making the reservation and a nice person to finally meet once we arrived. Brandon has a great personality and makes you feel so welcome. Breakfasts, let's see...YUMMY! Nice selection of food and beverages. Not to mention, hats off to the chef. (Poached eggs out of this world and done correctly - runny yolk.)   The gardens out back looked very nice, although the weather was a bit cool to stay out in the evenings for long periods of time. I look forward to my next visit probably next year, if not sooner! Thank you for such a nice and relaxing time. I will recommend your establishment to anyone who needs some good advice for staying in Ogunquit , ME.  DC, June 2007

“Thank you for another fabulous stay at the Hartwell House!  We appreciate the pleasant atmosphere created by you and your helpful staff.  We love the Newport room, and your scrumptious breakfasts start off each day perfectly!  Throughout the year we look at your website for updates, and we think your “Spring Flings” are a wonderful idea!  See you next spring!”  B&SM, June 2007

“Thank you for making our stay at Hartwell House Inn very comfortable and relaxing. After 35 years of marriage we needed a nice, quiet place to just kick back and relax. The atmosphere was perfect and I especially enjoyed sitting out by the koi pond; I'm sure your gardens are beautiful in the next few weeks. We also enjoyed the yummy cookies and breakfast was superb (perfect poached eggs!). I will recommend your hospitality to anyone looking for a place to feel in quiet comfort.”  P&JR, May 2007

“We had a lovely stay at the Inn last weekend.  The Homer room was excellent, the view out the back yard was great, the expanse was a surprise compared to other properties in the area.  It was much quieter with all that open space.  The room and Inn were clean,
the bed comfortable, the food excellent. We will recommend the Inn to others, no complaints from us.”
